Costs:  Offered by Priscilla Haskin of Haskin Canoe to JFW at reduced price of $250 pp + GST for the Master Educator course.

**AJFWA will subsidize 75% per person for the course upon successful completion from Leadership, Education, and Development (LEAD) funding.  You SAVE almost $200 for the Master Educator course!!

Sign-up will close on March 22, 2017. If minimum participants are not met, spaces may be opened up to non-JFW, which would not be subsidized by AJFWA.

LNT Master Educator:  Pay your 25% initial cost ($65.62) at the time of online sign-up to hold your space.  Credit Card (Paypal) payment can be made only at time of registration.  If you choose to pay this portion offline, an e-transfer or Club cheque, payable to AJFWA, must be received prior to the course date in order to enable you to attend.  Your space will not be confirmed until this payment is received.

What to Bring:  Bring what you normally would for a weekend campout and a day trip (to be used during the course), such as:

  • Personal water bottle and a 5 gallon jug of water
  • Non-cotton clothing
  • Full change of clothing
  • Rain gear
  • Insulating layers of clothing
  • Hat and sunglasses
  • Sleeping bag and optional sleeping pad
  • Daypack
  • Something to make a shelter
  • Something to start a fire
  • Something to make a signal

About Meals…Please assume that you will need to pack your own meals and snacks that are quick to prepare and bring your own cooking equipment. Once the course closes, there may be an option to coordinate some or all meals at a shared cost.
